Lake Havasu City Weekend

Different things work for different couples but one thing that really works for us is us doing our own thing. I’ll explain…
When it comes to homeschooling I do what I feel is right for our children. My husband supports me all the way. I also decorate the house and run the house my way. My husband plans our trips, picks the cars ( fixes the white school bus) and runs his business without me getting into it. We ask for each others advice if we want advice but we fully trust each other.
This helps tremendously. You see we don’t argue about what furniture to buy or what color to paint our walls.
We do the same thing with our children. Our kids have their own rooms ( Elizabeth and Eve share theirs) and they get to decorate and set up their room the way they want to. We never ask our children why their room is dirty because their rooms are never dirty. Because we have given them freedom and we trust them to make the best decision they want to take care of their rooms.

Oatman, AZ

Oatman Az began as a mining camp which has formed at the discovery of gold. It grew and eventually became an actual town. But once they no longer had any gold that was fairly easy to mine they became a tourist town and they are still one today. They are most well known by the fact that Burros are among the people. They originally came here when early settlers set theirs free and now there are dozens of them coming and going. In town there is a restaurant called Judy’s Saloon whose customers have made the habit of put money on the wall, furniture, ceiling, and anything inside the restaurant. It is definitely a interesting restaurant and if in town is worth checking out.

Mr. D’s Route 66 Diner

Mr. D’z Route 66 Diner is a American style diner that was originally a gas station but became what it is today in the 50s. Today you can visit and enjoy your burger, hotdog, or sandwich with a root beer.

Located at 105 E Andy Devine Ave, Kingman, AZ 86401.

Lake Havasu City Lighthouses

Lake Havasu City Lighthouses are definitely a sight to see. They consist of replicas of American lighthouses from a local lighthouse club. There are 26 lighthouses here and because of that this city holds the title for most lighthouses in an American city.

Lake Havasu State Park

Lake Havasu State Park is a great place to visit if looking for some outdoor time. The lake is surrounded by many small rocks making this a good place to skip rocks. There are fish inside this lake making it a good place to go fishing and if your looking for a place to stay there is a campground here.

Located at 699 London Bridge Rd, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.

London Bridge Resort

London Bridge was originally located in London but was dismantled and placed in Arizona. It is still in Arizona and is a beautiful bridge. From our balcony we were able to see the London Bridge. This resort is so charming with lots of space, a kitchen, and living room. From the living room you can climb stairs that take you to a roof balcony where there are chairs. Here you can enjoy the gorgeous views of London Bridge and the swimming pool.

Lord help me to not miss a special opportunity. To say yes to my children, especially when I’m feeling lazy or I just want to relax.
Mamas I almost missed out. I almost said no. You see at London Bridge Resort they had a waterslide and I was relaxing in the hot tub. My older two children kept asking me to go down the slide with them. I kept saying no. Then I finally decided to go. I had so much fun. I was screaming and laughing as I was going down the slide. I went down the slide not once but ten times with my two older children. They said I was the coolest mom, that they loved seeing me have such a great time, and that this was the highlight of their trip.
Can you believe I almost missed it?
