I have noticed that we make people feel uncomfortable when we are different. Especially when we are trying to better ourselves. And in return they put us down in order to make themselves feel okay.
Why is it that some will make a fuss about you running 10 miles or longer but won’t say a word about you drinking soda, drinking alcohol, smoking, or not being active?
You know when God saved my husband and I shortly after marriage we choose not to watch television or movies. There were “Godly” people making fun of our decision and putting us down. Why is it that no one cares that we watch movies now?
When you wear what you love and try to take care of yourself, people will stare and say lots of remarks on how your not dressed for the occasion. Why don’t they care if you wear pajamas to the store or don’t have your hair brushed?
When a family is close knit, people will think your weird and try to put you down as if there is something wrong with children wanting to spend time with their parents. Why is it that when children talk back to their parents or ignore their sibling in school, no one says anything?
When you work less and make more money, people will start saying that you don’t work enough. They will even tell your children that their dad hardly works making it sound as if it is a bad thing. Why is it when people come home after their children are already in bed that no one ever says anything to them?
When you follow a schedule, have a to do list, and are getting things done, some will tell you that to do lists are from the devil. Why don’t they say anything to you if your sitting around playing video games all day?
When you travel as a family a lot, people will start to sound like traveling so much is not a good thing. That you need to stay home more often. Why is it that no one says anything if you decided not to travel or take your family on outings?
When you wake up early, people will ask you when you go to sleep and will tell you that you need to sleep more. Why don’t they say anything to those who sleep in, take naps, and spend their life on sleepy mode?
When you homeschool your children, people will quiz your children to see if your children are learning anything. Why don’t they ask children who go to school and memorize useless information simply to pass a quiz and then forget everything they had to learn anyways?
When you read books to fill your mind with knowledge, people will say your spending too much time on yourself. Why don’t they say anything to you if you spend hours wasting time on social media or watching television?
Please do not be discouraged when people say things to you. All it means is that you are doing something that they are not. Others don’t want you to succeed. They want you to be like them so that they don’t have to feel bad about themselves. Some just don’t understand you because they have never had or done what you’ve had or done. You keep being awesome. You keep working on yourself and doing what is important for you and your family.
Captain Dave’s Dolphin Safari
Captain Dave’s Dolphin and Whale Safari was a very different experience from the one in our last post. Rather than being large the boat was much smaller. There is a underwater viewing area. We didn’t see any whales but we saw so many dolphins. We could see dolphins jumping half a mile away in nearly every direction including all the dolphins nearby the boat. They have an net at the front of the boat which is a great place to view dolphins who often went under it allowing for you to be above the dolphins. Despite being much smaller they had bathrooms here. We had the impression that the crew really cared about the ocean given the fact that they picked a couple aluminum balloons over the water. The crew was very interactive and did a good job at getting us to all the best areas the view dolphins.

Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens
Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Garden was built in 1927. It is right on the ocean giving you a view of the ocean behind the garden. The inner garden is surrounded by beautiful details. With so many hand painted tiles on the floor and so much more. It’s almost hard to imagine that this was originally a 7 room and 7 bath home where someone actually lived. The details continue into the home which has fully furnished rooms. This home truly oozes with style in so many ways. You definitely have to visit to get the full experience.

Zoomars
Zoomars is a petting zoo that is full of activities. When entering you see a fenced in area with easily 50 Guinea Pig. We later learned that in Switzerland it is Illegal to own only one Guinea Pig because they are social animals. But here there was so many different types of Guinea Pigs. When I say different I’m referring to behavior. Some would be pretty willing to be picked up by you and some were so fast that we could pick them up. The color palette had such a variety in both color and pattern. Rabbits, goats, and donkeys can also be found here. They have a couple attractions that don’t come with the admission primarily the horse ride and a miniature train ride. The most interesting thing at this location was a corn box. The corn seeds were past our ankles when we entered and was such a interesting experience. As you bath yourself in corn seeds your body become covered with a substance that gives such a wonderful sensation. Swimming in corn seeds is the one thing we never thought we would want to do.

San Clemente State Beach
San Clemente State Beach is a mile long beach. To get there you take a short trail that takes you to the beach. Now the trail is so beautiful. You have to go under a cemented railroad bridge.

Mission San Juan Capistrano
Mission San Juan Capistrano is a really beautiful mission. It was founded in 1775 to minister to the native Acjachemen tribe. There are gardens throughout the property with fountains and more details throughout. There are so many buildings all over the place. There are some truly beautiful ruins of previous structures. They have a beautiful restored church here. This is a very appealing place to look at. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
