Do you have your own built-in happiness? Where you do not think that someone else is the answer to your happiness?
“People in close relationships tend to experience more similar emotional states. When college freshmen were assigned at random to roommates who were mildly depressed, over the next three months, they too, became increasingly depressed. A significant increase in one spouse’s happiness boosts the other spouse’s happiness, while a drop in one spouse’s happiness drags down the other.” Gretchen Rubin
I consider myself a happy person. One who sees the cup half full but I catch emotions from other people. That is why I know how important it is for me to be patient in a long line, to be kind to others, to smile at strangers, and lend a helping hand. Especially when I am with my children or those I love. Small things make big differences. Encouraging others on here is also special. We tend to believe that just because someone has a big following that they get all these special messages but they usually don’t.
Sundial Bridge
The Sundial Bridge one of the most interesting places to visit in Redding, CA. It’s a 700 feet long and 23 feet wide going over the Sacramento River. It was completed in 2004 costing 23.5 million dollars. It is the worlds largest sundial which mean that if you pass the bridge you can see what time it is. The support tower though is perhaps the most fascinating thing here mostly due to the fact it is 217 feet tall, it holds the entire bridge in place and it is the reason the sundial operates. The sundial moves a foot per minute. This is definitely a interesting and captivating place to visit.

Shasta Lake Sacramento River Arm
Sacramento River Arm of Shasta Lake is very fascinating. Being one of four major arms the others being The McCloud River Arm, Squaw Creek Arm, and The Pit River Arm. There are many different creeks and inlets that fall into The Sacramento River Arm. Due to this you can explore and enjoy all the waterfalls that work to make Shasta Lake as large as it is.
Shasta Dam
Shasta Dam is a important part of California’s and America’s history. It is the eighth largest dam in America being 602 feet high and 3,460 feet long. It first began being built in 1938 and was completed in 1945. It serves the purposes of containing water and electricity making but the most interesting thing about it is that it stopped a large issue. In the past, nearly every year, Sacramento would flood but when this dam was completed this situation stopped. There was also timing, Shasta Dam is among the most significant roles in ending the great depression. It took many people to build it and this meant tons of employment. The project was completed ahead of schedule and helped provide the military with electricity during World War 2. And the importance of this creation can simply be seen by looking at it or even more so when walking above it.

Mount Shasta
Mount Shasta is one of the most beautiful places in California. It’s the 5th highest peak in California and 48th highest peak in North America. It has snow on the top year round and can be seen from every direction. Despite all the snow inside the mountain it is an active volcano which might be surprising since there are minor hints that it has erupted in the past. If you’ve never been here before or been to any of the lookouts looking upon it certainly do either or both. This is indeed an impressive location which will give you plenty of things to do both at Mount Shasta and in the Shasta area.
Shasta Lakeshore Retreat
This two story lake house is such a perfect getaway. It is very spacious and has everything you need. It is a retreat away from home. You can even do laundry while you are here. We came in March while it was raining so we stayed inside most of the time but we can imagine coming here in the summer. There is so much to do and explore on land and on water. There are two lakefront retreats to choose from. We stayed in retreat #1 which sleeps 10 people.
You can stroll down to the marina and boat docks.
They also have a hot tub that you can use. We really enjoyed it on the cold day that we stayed.
Located at 19625 Daisy Ln, Lakehead, CA 96051.
Thank you Shasta Lakeshore Retreat for hosting our stay.

Seeing places off season is my favorite. I really enjoy looking through places when it’s not as you though it would. Off season is cool and less tourists.

So many beautiful places that you’ve had the opportunity to visit. The two story clapboard home in the woods, it looks like you can see some remnants of the Cali wildfires which is very cool and interesting. And btw, yes, I do have my own happiness, but I am very careful not to let others moods and emotions rub off on me.
