“To see is to experience the world as it is, to remember is to experience the world as it was, to imagine – ah, to imagine is to experience the world as it isn’t and has never been. But as it might be.
The greatest achievement of the human brain is the ability to imagine objects and episodes that do not exist in the realm of the real, and it is this ability that allows us to think about the future.
Brains are continuously making predictions about the immediate, local, personal future of their owners without their owners’ awareness. Rather than saying such brains are predicting, let’s say that they are nexting.
Your nexting right now. ” – from Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert
How exciting it is that we can change our future. We can do things that will change how we live or what we believe. But we have to do something if we want our future reality to look like what we imagine.
Do you believe that a person can change if they imagine a different kind of path for their life?
Sacramento River Train
The Sacramento River Train runs on a track that is 16 miles long. There is plenty of space to walk around and look at the scenery. If your visiting Sacramento this is definitely the best way to see the Sacramento River and the fields of rice at the same time. The seating was very comfortable and there is complementary water and plenty of snacks and drinks you can purchase. When the train stops so that it can reverse they offer free gravel bags which are filled with different stones and gems. Also feel free to take the moment to take pictures.

Powerhouse Science Center
Can you believe that I came here when I was a kid? I came here with my school. It was such a memorable experience for me because my amazing parents worked so hard and never took us traveling. They never took us to museums or learning centers. This was one of the only Science Center I ever went to when I was a kid.
The Powerhouse Science Center is definitely a educational experience. There are plenty of interesting things to do here. The main reason we came here was for the Planetarium which was very informative on the stars and the planets in the solar system. We came early and spent some time learning things about space but the Planetarium was definitely the more interesting and captivating experience. If that wasn’t the case it would have definitely been a bad thing considering it is a limited attraction. We enjoyed our time here and learned new things and at the end of the day that’s all that really matters.

Rocklin Historic Society and Museum
I pretty much grew up in Rocklin, CA. I went to elementary, middle school, and high school here. I took my drivers test right on this road. Rocklin holds a very special place in my heart but I actually had no knowledge about Rocklin’s history.
Rocklin Historical Society and Museum was just a informative place to visit. I grew up here and never knew most of what they told me. I never knew Rocklin was really big on quarrys and that they were all around me and I didnt know. The people here are clearly knowledgeable about the history of Rocklin. There are also plenty of things to look at outside. Including machines to make granite smooth and good examples of how granite can be used. Including something we had never seen before. Multiple parking blocks made of granite which really stood out.

California Agricultural Museum
California Agriculture Museum is a pretty explanatory location but maybe not. Were you expecting a museum full of text or something along that line. This location certainly is more colorful than that because the building easily has 75 different tractors and such. The sheer variety is insane and definitely shows the evolution of tractors. By having so many tractors placed in the same area you can see how the individual companies changed their product. Anyone remotely interested in these topics should definitely visit this museum.

Poet Laureate Park
Poet Laureate Park was made to promote poetry in schools and other educational programs. All the poetry is presented in such a beautiful way. They are all made of metal and are all made in different ways. With waves and circles and more being used to present these poems in a unique way. Definitely worth visiting if you like poetry of unique things overall.
Thank you Sacramento River Train and Powerhouse Science Center for the amazing experience.
Thank you for reading our blog. We share a new blog post every Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm.
